ULTRA-LIGHT AIRCRAFT PILOT LICENSE
About the license
UL (A) is a license for an ultra-light aircraft. It is a Slovenian national license that allows you to fly for free time, with additional training also for air work and pilot training. In our flight school you will fly Tecnam P96 Golf, which belongs to the category of up to 472.5 kg MTOW (Max Take-Off Weight). It is a two-seater aircraft with a rescue parachute.
Entry requirements
Age of at least 16 years
Valid medical certificate (criteria for driving license B category or aviation medical certificate)
Consent of parents or guardians (for under 18 years)
Theoretical part
Theoretical part consists of 70 hours of lectures from:
Basics of aerodynamics and mechanics of a flight
Meteorology
Construction and materials
Propulsion system (engine)
Navigation
Emergency procedures
Radio-telephony and VFR Phraseology
Aircraft instruments
Air law
Use of equipment
Use of airfields and airports
Aeronautical medicine
Before beginning the practical training candidate must undergo an internal test of knowledge from the theory.
Practical part
The applicant must fly a total of at least 25 hours under the flight school program approved by the Civil Aviation Agency.

UL CVFR RATING
What is UL CVFR?
In order to fly with the UL license also to the controlled airspace (CVFR - Controlled VFR) or to airports with air traffic control, it is also necessary to obtain a CVRF rating .

Valid UL (A) license
Valid medical certificate (criteria for driving license B category or aviation medical certificate)
Theoretical part
Theoretical part consists of 20 hours of lectures from:
Aerial navigation with basics of radionavigation
Air law in controlled airspace
Emergency procedures in controlled airspace
English aviation phraseology
Before beginning the practical training candidate must undergo an internal test of knowledge from the theory.
Practical part
The applicant must fly a total of at least 10 hours under the flight school program approved by the Civil Aviation Agency.
Exam
Exam includes:
Theoretical part at the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA)

CVFR rating does not have a validity limitation.

Exam
After the successful completion of the program, the examination flight is conducted with an approved examiner of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (CAA).
