PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE
About the license
Private Pilot License (Airplane) is for those who want to fly airplanes on own-account or leisure. It also allows you to continue your training for obtaining a professional pilot license (CPL, ATPL).
Entry requirements
Age of at least 16 years prior to the first solo flight
Age of at least 17 years for an exam flight
At least 2nd class medical certificate

Theoretical part
The theoretical part consists of 100 hours of lectures from:
Air law
Human performance and limitations
Meteorology
Radio-telephony
Principles of flight
Operational procedures
Flight performance and planning
Airplane general knowledge
Navigation
Before beginning the practical training candidate must undergo an internal test of knowledge from the theory.
Practical part
Candidate must fly a total of at least 45 hours, which must include:
25 hours of flight with an instructor
10 hours of solo flight
1 solo flight longer than 150 NM (280 km) with full stop on at least two other airports
Exam
Exam includes:
Theoretical part at the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA)

License validity
PPL (A) license is limited by the rating for single-engine piston airplane (SEP / L) on 2 years and it has to be renewed.
