RATING FOR AEROBATIC FLYING

About the rating
By obtaining a rating for aerobatic flying, the pilot gains additional knowledge, skills and flight experience. With an aerobatic plane, it can perform a variety of acrobatic figures.
Entry requirements
Valid medical certificate for the corresponding license
Certificate of competency for a tail wheel *
Minimum 40 hours of PIC flying in the correct category after the license was issued
ICAO English proficieny at least Level 4
* If you are not trained for a tail wheel, sign up for a joint training package that in addition to acrobatic flight includes additional training for tail wheel.
Theoretical part
Theoretical part consists of 5 hours of lectures from:
Human performance and limitations
Technical conditions for aerobatic flight
Limitations by category of airplane
Aerobatic maneuvers and exit from them
Emergency procedures, evacuation from the aircraft and use of a parachute
Before beginning the practical training candidate must undergo an internal test of knowledge from the theory.
* In the case of a joint training package with a tail wheel, the theoretical program will take an additional two hours of lectures from the Training for the tail wheel qualification.
Practical part
Candidate must fly a total of at least 5 hours, which must include:
4 hours of flight with an instructor
1 hour of solo flight
* In the case of a joint training package with a tail wheel, the practical program will take up an additional hour for training for a tail wheel.
Exam
After successful completion of the training program, an application is submitted to the CAA, there is no examination flight.
Rating validity
Acrobatic rating is limited to the validity of the corresponding license.
